Mush is an eclectic retail store with an emphasis on home décor. We feature rare and unique jewelry, local art, elegant furniture, home accessories, antiques and unique gifts. We strive to bring back the fresh, stylish and colorful image that was characteristic of Hollywood in its heyday and revamp its rich history. Our pride is our individuality.

Inspired by the past, stimulated by the present and dedicated to the future each item in the store has been selected by Michelle van der Heijden (owner), who draws from her 20 years of experience in retail and Interior Design both on the East and West Coasts.

We offer design consultations for your home, office or store. Our window designers have worked with international celebrities like Simon Doonan for Barney's New York, Calvin Klein and Prada.

All art has been cleared for rent and has been featured on TV shows and feature films the likes of HEROES, SAVING GRACE, VALENTINE, LEGALLY BLONDE 2 and many others. We are a member of SDSA since 2007.

The store, located in a historical Landmark Building built by one of Hollywood’s Premier Film-makers and Producers Mr. Cecil B. DeMille in keeping with its heritage, represents various local and international artists and and serves the Film Industry in turn as an Art Rental House as well.

MUSH is dedicated to the value of sustainable materials and fair trade practices. we pride ourselves in our consistent search for better, more renewable and lower impact materials while ensuring the people who make our products receive living wages and work in a dignified environment.

Our mission is to contribute to the re-development of our beloved neighborhood, to add value to our growing community, to people’s homes and to their lives and help re-define the contemporary meaning behind the old glory of Hollywood.
